About Kimberly

After thirty years working in banking and accounting, Kimberly Diede decided it was time to write the next chapter of her own life.

Today she writes uplifting women’s fiction about midlife reinvention, enduring friendships, and the quiet strength found in family and community.

Her stories often unfold in Minnesota lake country, where peaceful shorelines and long summer evenings set the stage for characters rediscovering that even after life’s hardest seasons, new beginnings are still possible.

Stories from the Heart of Lake Country

Kimberly is the author of several beloved series, including The Gift of Whispering Pines, The Kaleidoscope Girls, and the growing Silvermist Lake stories.

Her books follow women navigating life as they face empty nests, career changes, loss, or unexpected opportunities while discovering who they truly are.

Readers who enjoy authors like Pamela Kelley, Viola Shipman, and Sherryl Woods often find themselves right at home in Kimberly’s stories.

Why She Writes

Kimberly believes it’s never too late to begin again.

Her stories celebrate women who continue growing, loving, and building meaningful lives long after the world suggests they should slow down.

She writes every book hoping readers will close the final page feeling understood and ready for whatever chapter comes next.

When she’s not writing, Kimberly enjoys time with her family, hunting for vintage treasures, spending peaceful mornings near the water, and encouraging other women. She lives in North Dakota with her husband and extended family.
